Cholo'ij Sacred Calendar
Central to Mayan Cosmovision is the Cholq'ij Sacred Calendar, a profound system of timekeeping that intertwines celestial cycles with spiritual significance. Comprising the Tzolk'in, a cycle of 260 days, and the Haab', a solar calendar of 365 days, the Cholq'ij governs the rhythms of life and guides religious observances. Each day within the calendar carries unique energies and attributes, influencing human destiny and shaping the course of events. Through the Cholq'ij, the Mayans navigate the complexities of time and align their actions with the cosmic order.
