DAY 1 - Online Opening Ceremony with Tata Walter

DAY 1 - Altar & Intention Ritual

Beginning the cacao dieta today with these energies feels deeply meaningful. It's an invitation to step into leadership of our lives, embracing our desire for a profound connection with ourselves. We are held and supported by the nurturing, divine feminine energy of Ixcacao, guiding us on this sacred journey.

Today's ritual centers on creating a new altar for the upcoming dieta. What are your intentions for yourself? To what will you devote yourself? Consider the choices and steps you will take to support these intentions.

Ask IXCACAO for guidance and help, and to express our needs. Are you ready to let her sweetness and love in? Are you open to receiving?

I invite you to place meaningful and purposeful objects on your altar and to truly set a new altar rather than using one you already have. If you prefer to use an existing altar, take a moment to carefully examine the objects on it. What do they represent? Remove any that no longer serve your intentions for the next 13 days and set them aside.

Remember, an altar is a reflection of your intentions. When you set it with clarity and purpose, it will come to life and create magic.

You can say this prayer while you light a candle on your altar to set the intention for this journey:

" Where ever there is light, there is love. Where ever there is love there is light. May the love of light live within me and the light of love surround me and protect me on this day and on this journey.

I lend my energy, my mind and my body to what I want to have happen in this world. I trust that the Universe will hear and feel me and provide me recourses accordingly.

I am allowing my thoughts and hopes to become my prayers and be heard.

May the answers to these prayers benefit all life on this planet. And so it is—or even better.”

♡11 Tz'ikin♡

Nahual: Bird (Eagle/Quetzal)

Attributes: Known as good spiritual guides (Ajq'ij), Mediator between Earth and Sky, Bird's-eye view

Direction: North

Element: Air

About Tz’ikin

Tz’ikin is the intermediary between the Sky and the Earth. Its energy is represented by the eagle, which can soar to great heights and whose vision allows it to see everything from a unique perspective. It represents the energies of abundance and love, helping people to reconnect and strengthen bonds between partners, friends, family, and coworkers. This energy can help us tap into our intuition and provide us with the panoramic vision of an eagle, which brings new perspectives and understanding. This makes it an ideal day to meditate and manifest. We can also offer some seeds to the birds to connect with and welcome this wonderful energy and its positive qualities into our lives. Tz’ikin is the essence of money. It is also the source of abundance. It is a day for receiving visions and premonitions. This nahual embodies abundance, creative power, and prosperity.

No. 11 ~ represents chaos, something in motion, transformation. This number invites us to be in harmony with chaos. And invites us to accept that change is coming.

Starting this diet on this day invites us to reflect on our own connection to the Earth and the Sky. It invites us to reflect on our connection to the vision we hold in our lives, and on how we attract abundance. The number 11 brings chaos; it asks us to let go of control in order to transform, so that we can embrace a larger, more aligned vision.

I am looking forward to hearing Tata Walter speak about today’s energy and to lead us in this opening ceremony.

DAY 1 - Planting the seeds of sweetness

Today's energy holds the profound potential to sow seeds of sweetness. Ajmaq is also connected to plants, as without bees, plants would be unable to reproduce.

In order to plant pure seeds, the first step is to free yourself from fear, shame, and guilt.

We can draw on our past experiences to understand why we or those around us may have made mistakes. Understanding this can help us forgive ourselves and others, and help us let go of any lingering burdens we carry. Let any bitterness about past events fade away so that the sweetness can take its place.

You can start by reciting the Ho’oponopono prayer, and then spend some quiet time reflecting on the seeds of kindness you wish to plant in your life.

After the prayer, take a few cacao beans—or any type of seeds you feel drawn to work with—and gently whisper your intentions, prayers, or wishes into them. Share with the seeds what you would like to nurture, grow, and invite into your life.

When you feel ready, place the seeds outside in the ground as an offering and a symbolic planting of these intentions.

♡12 AJMAQ♡

Nahual: Bee, Wasp

Attributes: Curiosity, Pardon

Direction: North

Element: Air

About Ajmaq

Ajmaq is represented by the bee and the wasp. It carries the energy of forgiveness and helps us apologize for any wrongdoing, seek forgiveness from ourselves and others, and be able to forgive. This energy can help us let go of any guilt, grudges, shame, or resentment. This allows us to learn from the past without carrying it forward. Forgiveness does not imply forgetting, accepting, or excusing wrongdoings; rather, it provides us with peace of mind and relieves the heavy burden. Ajmaq is also the energy that represents curiosity and brings us the ability to learn. It is a day deeply connected with learning about the wisdom carried by those great teachers who once walked the Earth.

Ajamq is a symbolic day commemorating our ancestors. It represents the past, which began with the first ancestors at the dawn of time.

The deceased serve as a reminder of the past, guiding the present and helping to shape a better future.

On this day, we take a moment to look at ourselves in the mirror—what is the other person reflecting back to you? It is a day to ask Mother Earth for forgiveness for all your past transgressions.

It is a good day to pray for healing, for material abundance, for spiritual strength, and for harmony with Mother Earth.

Number 12 is asking us to engage fully in life, to have the courage to create, and to trust in life with our eyes closed. It embodies both masculine and feminine energy.

This combination invites us to ask our ancestors for guidance, to help us find forgiveness, to let go of our sins and fears, and to surrender. Surrender and trust.

DAY 2 - Ancestral Wisdom

As I understand and have experienced it, there are a couple of different fields.

First, there is the realm of our physical ancestors: our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and the many generations that came before them. In shamanic tradition, we say that we are influenced by the 12 generations that came before us, and that we will also influence the 12 generations that come after us. When you truly feel into that, it is immense. It is such a vast and interconnected realm.

So when I speak of our ancestors, I am referring not only to those we have known personally, but also to those who have already “passed on.” By this I do not mean that our grandparents or great-grandparents are somehow restless, but rather that many of the more recent generations are still deeply connected to the karmic patterns and imprints we carry within our physical bodies and DNA.

Those who are further “toward the light” are, in a sense, further removed from these karmic imprints. And within that space lies what I experience as the field of connectedness—a field where separation begins to dissolve.

What I mean by connectedness is this: perhaps, at the deepest level, my ancestors and your ancestors are not so different. Perhaps there is a place where we are all connected, where we are ultimately one.

You don’t have to take this as gospel. But perhaps you can simply remain open to the possibility of what this perspective might awaken within you.

This message is intended to help you connect with the spirit world, allowing “knowledge” to transform into “wisdom.”

♡Nov 13 ♡

Nahual: Woodpecker

Attributes: Knowledge, Wisdom, Science

Direction: North

Element: Air

About Noj

No'j represents ideas, thoughts, and the brain. It is the connection between the human mind and the mind of the universe. It is the energy that inspires us to apply our knowledge and experiences in order to gain lasting wisdom. The way to accomplish this is by putting everything we know into action. There is a significant difference between knowing something and actually implementing it into your life and this is where the secret of No'j lies. This is an ideal day for cultivating the mind, searching for truth, investigating, and acquiring information that will later be translated into wisdom.

This should be a very interesting day for anyone interested in ancestral knowledge, as the nawal of the brain aligns with the number 13, which represents the spirit world.

This day holds the potential for true genius. No'j is usually known for its down-to-earth ideas and the practical way in which knowledge is applied to problem-solving. However, the power of the number 13 may inspire at least a leap of faith within this process. So today, instead of thinking with our minds or finding solutions with our minds, we ask for the wisdom of the ancestors, their help, and their guidance. Their whispers are here to help you piece together the information you have. Allow yourself to let go of logic.

If there is a problem in your life that you know one of your ancestors would be able to solve, today is the day to ask for their help, whether they are still in this world or not.

DAY 3 - CREATING HARMONY: Letting go of what no longer serves you.

CREATING HARMONY, Cutting away what does not serve.

Today is the day to take a fresh look at what needs to be healed or let go of in order to bring harmony into your life. It may even require a little outside help—whether in the form of encouragement or simply advice on where to make changes—but trust the energy of Tijax, the obsidian blade, to guide you. Allow more of your healing power to flow through you as you embody your true self.

20.05.2026

♡1 Tijax ♡

Nahual: Toucan, Swordfish

Attributes: Double-bladed Obsidian Knife, healer, medicine

Direction: South

Element: Water

Today is a special day because it is 1 Tijax in the Tijax trecena

Start of a new Trecena:
A Trecena is a 13-day cycle. There are 20 Trecenas in a Cholq'ij year.

The Cholq'ij is the most important calendar in Mayan culture. It is used to measure the energies that influence humans each day.

It consists of 20 different energies, known as Ch'umilab', each with 13 manifestations resulting in 260 days.

About Tijax

“Tijax’s message is: Use your medicine, or else your medicine will use you”

Tijax is the energy associated with healing, and it is frequently referred to as doctor Tijax. It is represented by the double-bladed obsidian knife. This knife has two sides, similar to the two faces of a coin; with one side, you can work on removing anything negative in your life, as well as any blockages or impediments to your growth and healing. With the other side you can work on opening new paths and opportunities. This is a day to heal, release the negative inside of us, and cut away the bad things in our lives. It is an excellent day for Ajq'ijab' (Mayan spiritual leaders) to treat their patients through cleansing, Kotzij', and practices to remove their problems and illnesses.

Today, the journey begins! Yesterday, you received the wisdom of the ancestors-now it's time to bring it to life.

The days of preparation are behind you, and now it's time to put your gifts and abilities into action. While they may have been freely given, they carry a purpose, and today is the moment to embrace that purpose.

The energy of Tijax brings determination and a deep commitment to restoring harmony. It works to heal divisions, cutting away what no longer serves you, and at other times by removing disharmony entirely. Tijax moves with the clarity of a "mission from the Divine," seeking to create a better, more harmonious world.

It serves as the first step in cleansing, initiating the process of clearing away the old in order to prepare the ground for the new potential that is yearning to grow from the seeds you have planted.

Combined with the number 1. The number 1 symbolizes unity and family. Together, these two energies are asking you: How will you use your healing power to create unity and harmony within yourself, and thereby bring it into the world?

Step forward with courage and purpose; the mission begins now.

DAY 4 - Uniting Opposites to Create New Beginnings

Thinking about yesterdays process of healing in order to create more Harmony in your life. How can you fit that into the greater plan? How in bringing this Harmony into your life you will improve those of your community or future generations?

Today, both polarities can be invoked to bring something new into the world. This is the day to call for new emergence, a new life born from the union of two equal and opposing forces that energize the world. Reflect on what is holding you back from bringing harmony into your life-what are the opposing forces at play, and how can you bring them together in communion?

♡2 Kawok ♡

Nahual: Turtle, Ant

Attributes: Abundance, Family

Direction: East

Element: Fire

About Kawoq

Kawoq is the energy represented by the abundance of the community that works and grows together. It symbolizes fertility, family, community, society, humanity, the world, the galaxy, and everything that surrounds us and of which we are a part. It is connected to the spirit of the midwives, the women who hold the wisdom and sacred knowledge of the matriarchy. This energy encourages us to work together for the betterment of all and reminds us to take action from a place of wanting what is best for the community as a whole. For the Maya, it is important to work not only for the community today, but also for future generations, so that they are in a good place as well. Today is a great day to connect with those around you, which could be as simple as having a phone call with a parent or a friend. It is also an excellent opportunity for community service and to assist others around you.

Sometimes, a touch of self-sacrifice is necessary to bring something new into the world, and today carries that energy. Duality arises through separation, and it is through this division that new life emerges, transforming the old into the new.

The nawal Kawoq embodies the birthing process in all its complexity, representing both the ecstatic and the challenging. It reminds us that while birth can bring pain, it also brings hope, renewal, and one of life’s greatest miracles.

Harmony is different from balance. Even when we are in balance, there can still be an imbalance. Achieving harmony means becoming one with existence, remembering that we are nature. Being in harmony means listening deeply to that guidance. It means allowing ourselves to be moved rather than forcing movement. It means running with the wind instead of against it.

Remembering that life is cyclical and driven by the primal forces of Life, Death, Birth, Decay, and Creation. In our tradition, we are committed to improving our own lives, the lives of those around us, and making the world a better place. This is the energy of Kawoq: becoming a thriving community.

The energy of the number two can be challenging, as it highlights the duality of existence, emphasizing that creation cannot occur in perfect unity. Duality, with all its challenges, is essential to life. Neither aspect—masculine or feminine, light or dark—is superior; they are complementary forces, each enriching the other. While this energy may bring moments of indecision, it also offers profound opportunities for harmony as new beginnings take shape.

DAY 5 - Your Inner Sun: Connect with Your Divinity

This is the perfect day to connect with the sacred essence and the power of creation within your heart—your inner sun. I invite you to a profound communion with your true self, your I AM Presence, and through this, to whatever your divine energy is calling you to create.

“I call forth my soul gifts and release all that dims my truth.
I choose to step out of the shadows and shine like the SUN, radiant and unapologetic in my nature.
May I move through this world with grace, aligning every creative choice with my soul’s authentic purpose.
I soften into the healing flow of the universe, trusting that my unique journey is unfolding in perfect harmony.
Let my light inspire, heal, and bring warmth to all I touch.
And so it be, so it is.”

♡3 Ajpu ♡

Nahual: Sun

Attributes: Warrior, Hunter, Sun

Direction: South

Element: Fire

About Ajpu

“Every heartbeat is the sun’s inner pulse”

Ajpu represents the spiritual warrior. It is the person who fights not with violence but with light. It is the energy of the warrior, the hunter who uses this energy to achieve anything they want in life, carrying with them the energy of manifestation. The way to use this energy is through expression, writing, making music, or creating art—directing our arrow of creation toward what we are hunting.

This energy brings us the wisdom of the twin hero Junajpu, who was able to journey to Xib’alb’a (the Mayan Underworld) and overcome all the challenges along the way, to be reborn as a new being and become the sun.

When we connect with this wisdom, we gain the insight needed to overcome our own challenges, transcend our darkness, and step into the light.

Today is a day to spend some time in the sun, to let the light fill your being and show you how to overcome life’s challenges.

The outside world can often feel harsh and unpredictable. Some days, we are blessed with good fortune, while on others, we wonder why things didn’t turn out the way we intended.

Finding holiness in all things is a noble aspiration. But it can sometimes feel out of reach. It may seem easier to recognize the divine in the natural world than in human creations, but even nature can challenge us. Hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes are common in the Maya territories and can devastate lives and legacies, making it hard to see the sacred in such destruction.

On a more personal level, seeing the divine in human interactions—especially those that hurt us or cause conflict—can feel just as challenging. Understanding and navigating the complexities of human interactions, and embracing them as part of a higher plan, can sometimes feel challenging.

Today, the energy of 3 Ajpu invites you to look within and explore the sacredness of your own being and your immediate surroundings. While the outside world may offer reminders of disconnection or hardship, the path to divinity often begins by nurturing a sense of holiness within your heart and home. Finding divinity within.

So the energy of 3 Ajpu encourages us to turn our attention inward, to seek the divine spark within ourselves and our surroundings. The number 3 represents creation, creativity, and the source of all art.

DAY 6 - Today’s energy invites us to listen deeply to our inner waters, distill our own sensations and inspirations, and follow our own inner flow.

Today I invite you to connect with water in your own unique way. Y

You can do this WATER CEREMONY. Or choose to do it in your own unique way.

Then, bring your dreams to life. Write in your journal… if you could take your first step today, what would you do? Let Ixcacao and today’s energy guide you as you listen to the whispers of your inner waters.

♡4 Imox ♡

Nahual: Dolphin, Alligator

Attributes: Water, Womb

Direction: West

Element: Water

About Imox

Imox reflects the vitality of one of life’s most important elements, water. This day allows us to connect with this element and express our gratitude to it, whether by visiting a river, a lake, the sea, or simply connecting with a glass of water. Imox is the eccentric energy, as it breaks down structures and helps us see further than others. The ability to flow is a lesson of this energy; whether it is a tranquil stream or a soaring cascade, water travels through every corner of the land, and we must do the same. The energy of the nawal Imox can feel overwhelming when the connection to the collective consciousness becomes too strong. However, today this energy is tempered by the grounding and balanced influence of the number four.

Imox represents the source from which all creation emerges; it is a wellspring of innovation and inspiration. It connects us to the dream state, offering us glimpses of possible futures and serving as a muse that subtly shapes our ideas and creativity. Often, these inspirations arise from a deep place, so subtle that we might not immediately recognize their origins. Imox also heightens our sensitivity to the energies and emotions of those around us. Imox connects easily to the collective. However, the downside of this awareness can sometimes lead to confusion… causing difficulty in distinguishing between what is truly ours and what we absorb from the collective consciousness.

Today, the number four brings its stabilizing energy to balance Imox’s boundless creativity. It helps anchor inspiration, guiding it toward tangible results. This combination helps us turn our dreams into reality while also calming the “chatter” of collective energy, allowing for clarity and focus amidst the flow of ideas.

Day 7 - Meaningful Words

How often are you truly aware of the power and meaning behind your words, both in what you communicate to others and to yourself? Today, let us bring our focus to our words and the way we communicate. We invite the Spirit of Iq and the Spirit of Ixcacao to flow through us, infusing our speech with sweetness and intention.

One of the most powerful ways I’ve learned to deepen communication over the past year is by getting intimate—with myself and with others. How? When we get intimate with ourselves, we listen to the words we speak to ourselves, noticing the inner critic that shames and belittles us. By responding to this voice with kindness, we begin to dismantle this abusive way of communicating within ourselves.

How do we connect deeply with the "other"? Often, we either hold back, compromise, or end up in conflict. But when we truly connect deeply with the other person, we invite ourselves to open up. We ask ourselves: what part of me is being touched by this situation, and how can I allow the other person to get closer to this part of me that I’ve been trying to hide or protect?

Today, I invite you to use your voice with sweetness.

Today, I invite you to start with a breathing exercise. You can follow these four steps: Inhale through your nose, inhale through your mouth, exhale through your mouth, and exhale more deeply through your mouth. Repeat this for a couple of minutes.

NOW SING or PRAY (and share the song or prayer you love)

♡5 IQ ♡

Nahual: Hummingbird

Attributes: Wind, Purification, Cleansing

Direction: North

Element: Wind

About Iq'

"Iq" symbolizes the life-giving energy of the wind. Wind is important to the Maya because it not only gives us life, but it also serves as an elder who helps us cleanse and purify ourselves.

Iq’ energy is all about communication and inspiration. The Iq’ spirit can help us communicate with the unseen world and travel through dimensions. It is the carrier of Breath and thus of life.

This is the energy that embodies our ideas and the importance of finding inner peace and organizing our thoughts in order to achieve our life goals.

The Nawal Iq' does emphasize communication, but it also brings about changes, and its most challenging aspect is anger. These three aspects are all seen working together.

A lack of communication can lead to anger, as can sudden or unexpected changes.

It’s worth keeping this in mind on Iq’ days, as the energy can sometimes make people more sensitive to these things and trigger a stronger-than-expected reaction.

The number five is all about balance, magnetism, and attraction. It can also present a challenge, as the energy of 5 can create a lot of turbulence, causing us to lose our balance. The combination of 5 and 5 requires some extra effort to bring out the positive qualities of both energies. This day invites us to be persistent and focused so that we can overcome obstacles.

Number 5 is inviting you to step out of your comfort zone, stop seeking attention and validation, and JUST BE. IQ is inviting you to use the element of wind—and thus air, breath, and words—to do so.

Today, taking extra care to ensure your words are clear and purposeful can make a significant difference. With mindful effort, you have the potential to turn challenges into opportunities. Your words, crafted with precision and infused with purpose, may even carry a divine spark, inspiring those around you and fostering meaningful, deep connections.

Day 8 - Today I invite you to perform this ritual to connect with your soul and deepen your trust in what your soul is bringing into being.

To trust in the cycle of nature and in the forces that are moving you and flowing through you.

Before you begin the ritual, you can start by invoking IXcacao:

“Ixcacao, please awaken, please guide my work so that I may know your will and your ways”

NOW YOU CAN BEGIN THE RITUAL

♡6 Aq’ab’bal ♡

Nahual: Bat

Attributes: Source of knowledge, Polarities, family

Direction: East

Element: Fire

About Aq'ab'al

The Aq'ab'al are the source of knowledge because they live in the caves where our ancestors once lived; they are the guardians of those caves, which served as our ancestors’ first classrooms. They are connected to the energy and structure of the family.

Aq'ab'al also represents the dualities of our world, such as the sun and moon, day and night, sunrise and sunset, and the feminine and masculine. Polarity is an important aspect of Mayan life because they recognize that these two energies depend on one another and cannot survive without each other. We, as humans, are dual beings, possessing both light and darkness within us, and Aq'ab'al teaches us the importance of accepting and loving both sides of ourselves, as they help us navigate our lives. These must be at peace with one another in order to achieve a successful connection with ourselves as whole beings.

After the somewhat fluctuating energy of the past few days, today is a day when we might expect to see the emergence of a new and stable concept. If you’ve been feeling under the weather or going through a cleansing process, this day might bring you stability.

Aq'ab'al days are generally considered to be auspicious days, days on which a new dawn breaks. They serve as a bridge between the dream world and the physical world, bringing the images from our dreams into our conscious minds so that we can begin to create from them. It is our bridge to the collective consciousness (represented by Imox), connecting the dream world and the waking world. It is the fertilized egg, newly implanted in the mother’s womb, but yet to emerge into the light of the physical world.

Through these images we understand the energy of Aq'ab'al days. They are days of new beginnings, where new concepts are brought into existence. They still need work to complete them, they need to be gestate, to be nurtured, before they can stand alone.

However, today we see the energy of Aq'ab'al combined with the number 6, the number of ultimate stability. The number 6 is the expression of nature. It represents cyclical energy—life, death, birth, decay, and creation—the recurring patterns found in nature. It is the spiral and the Fibonacci sequence.

These energies together tell you that today is an excellent day to unveil your new project to the world, even if it is not yet fully finished. Time and nurturing will help complete the process, but even as a concept, its potential is already clear. This new vision is not some vague idea, shrouded in the early light of dawn. The sun’s light is fully on its way; we know for certain that the new day, the new life, is coming. The inspiration of the Heart of the Sky and the Heart of the Earth is infused into this concept, bringing something to the physical plane that has a touch of the divine about it.

Day 9 - I just love synchronicities. Yesterday, during the shamanic class I teach, I was talking about how we need to make space for what we pray for… Today I spoke to Rosanne about it, and now, as I prepare the energy of 7 K’at, I feel the call to share it with all of you

♡7 K’at ♡

Nahual: Spider

Attributes: Network, Magnetism, Bringing People Together

Direction: South

Element: Fire

About K'at

The energy of K'at is all about magnetism—bringing everything together and weaving connections. Tapping into the energy of K'at makes us highly sensitive and gives us the ability to filter.

K’at is the heart of the fire and helps us raise our intentions and transform.

K’at teaches us to nurture our inner fire and put it to good use so that it does not consume us.

K'at has the power to bring together thoughts, ideas, and people, and to amplify whatever it touches.

The number 7 symbolizes finality and completion, but also the ability to prophesy. It represents the sacred body of the universe.

Today might mark the completion of something that was started long ago, and it’s the perfect day to wrap up projects or ideas.

The other side of K'at also teaches us to let go of what entangles us. Combined with the number 7, it brings a sense of finality, suggesting that today is the perfect day to free yourself from what holds you back.

Keep in mind that, from the perspective of the top of the pyramid, it’s important to consider where to start the harvest. The potential for gathering abundance today is so great that you might find your net full before you’ve even finished. You are being invited to move forward with awareness so that you can fully receive all this abundance—you are being asked to make room for it.

Day 10 - If you feel like it, you can increase your dose to 40 grams starting today for the last 3 days of the diet.

K’an – The Energy of the Snake and the Cosmos

Kan represents the energy of the serpent and the spirals of the universe. It embodies Tepew Gucmatz, the feathered serpent who played a key role in the creation of our cosmos.

This energy is connected to the life force of our DNA, helping us unlock its secrets so we can reach our full potential. Kan teaches us that we are a reflection of the universe. Understanding ourselves leads to understanding the world around us.

Kan holds the Earth's most powerful energy; it is the heart of the Earth.

Kan reminds us to change and transform, to shed our skin.

The number 8 amplifies energy. It is the number of stability and embodies divine masculine energy. This number can also represent duality. The number 8 allows us to experience both beginnings and endings, light and darkness, ultimately leading to harmony.

Today, with the combination of the number 8 and the Nahual Kan, we may encounter both positive and negative aspects. We are invited into the heart of the earth, and this may lead to profound insights. The snake is also the master of kundalini energy. The energy of this day, despite the balanced nature of the number 8, may feel intense.

Kan's energy, combined with the number 8, may bring moments of manipulation or illusion. However, it also offers the opportunity to tap into our wisdom to see beyond the surface, recognizing things as they truly are. This day invites us to learn from both the positive and negative uses of power, and how we can apply this wisdom to empower ourselves and our communities.

The 8th day of the trecena can also be a time for ceremony, a celebration of Kan’s qualities, including its wisdom and empowerment. As a day honoring our teachers, it is an ideal time to acknowledge and celebrate the wisdom they offer us.

Day 11 — Today we ask for help.
We invite the Divine Feminine energy to flow through us and allow ourselves to receive the messages we need to continue on our journey.

9 Kame is a beautiful day to honor our ancestors and our lineage. Before you perform the transmission or drink the cacao, I invite you, as you light your candle, to thank your mother and the women of your lineage for the greatest gift of all: life.

We invite the energy of the Goddess Ixcacao to nourish us and help us open ourselves to receiving.

♡9 Kame ♡

Nahual: Owl

Attributes: Cycles of Life, Death, Rebirth, Ancestors

About Kame

Kame, for the Maya, is represented by the owl. In their culture, all birds are messengers; however, because owls are nocturnal birds, they are said to be messengers of Xib'alb'a (the Maya underworld). This means you receive all kinds of messages, both good and harmful. It invites you to stay fully centered so that you can discern whether a message is positive or negative.

Kame symbolizes the cycles of death and rebirth. An important aspect of this energy is that it represents our ancestors and lineage; it is a time when we hold them close within ourselves and thank them for everything they have done for us, since even giving us life was the greatest gift.

When the energy of Kame arrives, we light candles for them and make offerings in gratitude. This energy allows us to reflect on our lives and break cycles that no longer serve us, while also opening up new ones.

Today brings a very auspicious combination, as Kame, the nawal of spiritual change, combines with the number 9, the number of life.

Today is a day when overcoming a life challenge may lead to a profound transformation.

Often in life, we like to maintain the status quo; we have shaped our lives in a certain way, and that gives us a sense of security. However, life is never static, and even in death there is movement and transformation. We were not born to live without change. In order to grow in every way, we need change in our lives. New experiences and challenges—even if they frighten us when we think about them—are what help us mature and develop; they help our souls to ripen. The energy of Kame brings us these opportunities to face our fears and achieve significant personal growth through the process of overcoming them.

Today, Kame is associated with the number 9, which symbolizes life and the feminine aspect in particular. This suggests that the women in our lives and/or in our lineage may help us transform into a higher version of ourselves. We have a choice in how we face challenges, and the energy of the day suggests that compassion and acceptance—the more feminine qualities—will yield the desired result. An important transformation may occur through the integration of the divine feminine aspect.

Day 12 — Today I have written this beautiful ritual for you. Go outside into nature or your garden. And you can perform the RITUAL OF GIVING AND RECEIVING

♡10 Kej♡

Nahual: Deer

Attributes: Four Corners, Four Elements, Nature, Authority

Kej is represented by the deer, which has one leg on each of the four cardinal points. This energy connects us deeply to Mother Earth and teaches us the importance of nurturing our connection with nature. The deer is the guardian of the forests, responsible for maintaining the balance between nature and humanity. Kej also represents our inner strength, particularly present in our limbs. This is an excellent day for connecting with Mother Earth and the four corners of the planet. It is also a great day to do some exercises that benefit your arms and legs.

Today, the strength and determination of the nawal Kej are combined with the number 10. It is the number of manifestation. The number 10 represents joining hands. It is a day to play an active role in strengthening your community.

The number 10 symbolizes community and cooperation, like two hands coming together. In a healthy community, there is a natural balance between giving and receiving. Sometimes we have more to offer, and sometimes we need support from others. Life moves in these cycles.

Kej is known as the strongest of the nawales, and this is part of what gives it the strength to lead.

Leading with a spirit of sacred reciprocity, leading from the heart, striving for the benefit of all.

It is said that we should look with the eyes of our heart, in harmony with nature. By understanding our nature, we realize that we are nature.

The energy of 10 Kej is a beautiful reminder that we are not meant to walk alone. If you have strength, wisdom, time, or resources to share, this is a powerful day to offer them to your community. If you are in need of help, guidance, or support, this is also a wonderful day to reach out and ask.

10 Kej teaches us that both giving and receiving strengthen the web of connection that binds us all together.

Nahual: Rabbit

Attributes: Seed, Projects

About Q'anil

Q'anil is the energy that represents the sacred seeds we use to plant everything we desire in life, whether it be abundance, love, dreams, or aspirations. One of the teachings of the Maya is that we reap what we sow, and if we want good things in our lives and future, we must begin planting them. Q'anil also represents the seeds of our projects and dreams, which, when we work to nurture them, will yield everything we have ever wanted. This is a day for thanking the seeds of this world, for it is because of them that we are alive and able to nourish our bodies. This is also the perfect day to plant some seeds or begin a new project.

The energy of Q'anil is truly unique. Q'anil represents the process of planting seeds, and different seeds require different care to thrive. Just as different plants need specific conditions to grow, nurturing your seeds means providing them with what they individually need. Patience is essential because seeds grow in darkness, unseen, and constant doubt can hinder their growth. To help them grow straight, young plants may need support, attention, water, and positive vibrations. Only after you’ve devotedly cared for them will your efforts bear fruit and flowers, with some taking longer than others. This process mirrors the garden of your life, but it’s crucial to note that your strengths can sometimes become your weaknesses when you’re out of balance. Balancing yourself is key, especially in mastering patience, trust, and daily care.

The number 11 is the number of chaos and transformation. It represents perfect order within chaos. It is the day of medicine.

The number 11 can be challenging, but when combined with Quanil, it creates a perfect storm. It’s a day to reap the golden abundance of the seeds you’ve planted, the visions that have ripened, or the fruits of your labor. It’s a great day to work on physical tasks or to tend to your mental and spiritual garden.
